Binalonan Districts I & II Teachers Club on Dec. 1 honored teacher-retirees, promoted school personnel and new permanent teachers and administrative assistants in a reception program held at the South Central School.
A total of 5 teacher-retirees, 2 promoted administrators, 1 master teacher, 4 permanent teachers and 4 administrative assistants of both districts were given honor in the traditional reception program.
This occasion is a significant tradition deeply engrained in the culture of the Binalonan Districts I & II Teachers Club .
Dr. Vivian Luz S. Pagatpatan, OIC of the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent was invited as the guest of honor and speaker.
Pagatpatan congratulated all the honorees and shared her insights on why we celebrate the concept of education.
βSuccess requires preparation. Progress requires education. The function of education is to teach us to think intensively and to think critically, β she said.
βIntelligence leads to discipline. Discipline leads to character. This is the goal of education, β she added.
Dr. Pagatpatan said that education is not just the acquisition of learning, it must become the change of learning which is self-progression.
βOur purpose is its correct utilization. It prepares us to be the best that we can possibly become,βshe finally ended.
Present in the occasion were Mrs. Teresita E. Dacpano of the Press and Publication office of LGU Binalonan who represented Mayor Ramon V. Guico III and Vice-Mayor Melicio F. Patague; Marites Tabuga, EPS in special Education of Pangasinan Division II with Dr. Lelia V. Meimban, a retired district supervisor of Binalonan II.
Annabelle M. Parel and Joy Victoria Lorica Bautista, presidents of both districts led the club officials in organizing this reception program through the guidance of District Supervisors Dr. Ana Jean B. Asuncion and Dr. Ferdinand Cabrera.
