The Belgian visitors were tendered a send-off party on February 18 by Mayor Ramon V.Guico III in a garden setting at his residence attended by municipal officials and department heads of LGU Binalonan.
As our partner municipality, St Josse Ten Noode of Brussels, Belguim come to Binalonan yearly bringing in gifts of projects for the town.
In a short program in the party, Mayor Guico thanked the visitors for their continuous support in giving financial assistance to the town. Among the donations given by the Belgians were 7 mobile stores, computer sets in Sumabnit Elementary School, books in UEP, micro credit for ambulant, bus and park vendors and micro credit for farmers, and counterpart for ambulance. Aside from these the mayor expressed his sincerest gratitude for the exchange of learning of each otherโs culture.
Meanwhile Deputy Mayor of St. Josse Ten Noode Eric Jassin Ramdani gave his response mentioning among others the warm hospitality of the Binalonians and pledged to extend more of their assistance like the provision of uniform and equipments for football. The deputy mayor said that they eagerly wait for another year of visit during the next town festivities.
