The Local Government of Binalonan on May 4 distributed Indigent Program or βSponsored Programβ IDs to 830 beneficiaries from 24 barangays.
The distribution of PhilHealth IDs, held at The Tent, Rock Garden, was led by Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague, Councilor Marie Anne R. Baybayan, Rural Health Doctor Framila Cuaresma Dela Cruz, and Population Program Worker I Teresita T. Bartolome.
Patague cited the utmost sincerity of the local government of Binalonan in giving support and importance to the less-privileged people of the town.
Likewise, he also informed the recipients that the contribution of the beneficiaries in PhilHealth is sponsored by the LGU through Mayor Ramon V. Guico III, and the Sangguniang Bayan under his leadership.
As members of the PhilHealth Sponsored Program, recipients of the health insurance ID Card and Member Data Record (MDR) become eligible for hospital inpatients benefits, and outpatient benefits.
Qualified Dependents
PhilHealth benefits can also be availed by qualified dependents of the beneficiaries, including legal spouse, provided he or she is not a not PhilHealth member; children below 20 years old who are single and unemployed; children with permanent disabilities; foster child according to Foster Child Care Act of 2002; and parents 60 and above who are not PhilHealth members.
The validity of the sponsored IDs of the recipients is from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2018.
