The University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP) on May 25 held its 8th Commencement Exercises at the Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center with the theme βUntiring Learners, Empowered Citizens, and Pro-Active Leaders.β
155 graduates from 10 degree and 3 associate programs received their diplomas and certificates.
Rubylyn C. Fernandez, BS Secondary Education Major in Mathematics, graduated as class Cum Laude. He also received the Governor Amado I. Espino III Academic Excellence Award.
Meanwhile, incumbent 5th District Representative and Keynote Speaker Amado T. Espino Jr. emphasized to the candidates four factors that would shape their future: βLove your family, love your church, love your community and love your school.β
A product of public school from elementary to college, Espino said, βBe proud to be a graduate of UEP. Dream and work hard. Turn negative to positive.β
UEP officials led by the Chairman of the Board of Regents Ramon Guico III, municipal officials, academic and administrative council, academic teaching staff, non- teaching staff and support personnel attended the commencement exercises.
