The Sangguniang Bayan of Binalonan on July 17 held a Welcome & Send-off Program for its incoming and outgoing members.
Newly-installed Association of Barangay Captains President Bryan Louie Balangue, Federated Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Ronaldo Biado, and outgoing Municipal Councilor Cesar Tomeldan, Sr. were feted with a ceremony held at the SB Session Hall.
It was attended in by SB Presiding Officer Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, municipal councilors, department heads, some municipal employees, and visitors.
Tomeldan won as municipal councilor during the 2002 local elections. After his term, he was elected Punong Barangay and voted president of the Liga ng mga Barangay and served as ex-officio member of the SB. He was assigned as District Councilor of Barangays Canarvacanan, Dumayat, and Sumabnit.
VM Patague said he expects high degree of integrity, professionalism, and excellence from Balangue and Biado. He also encouraged the two officials to read the Internal Rules of Procedures and be more dynamic and participative during activities of the SB.
The other councilors also gave their messages for the three honorees who in turn expressed their appreciation.
Tomeldan was gifted with his portrait as βa symbol of the good image he created while being a government officialβ, and his table sign with his name which is βsynonymous to unselfish, committed and dedicated public servant.β
Balangue, punong barangay of Capas, and Biado, SK chairman of Pasileng Norte, were given copies of the Local Government Code of 1991, Internal Rules of Procedures and planners.
