11th Pistang Kristiyano highlights unity, faith for Binalonians
Various churches of Binalonan on Nov. 13 united to celebrate Pistang Kristiyano 2018 at the Ramon J. Guico, Sr. Sports and Civic Center.
A parade participated in by some municipal officials, visitors, bishops, ministers, pastors and members of the different denominations which went around the major streets of the poblacion signalled the opening of the 11th Pistang Kristiyano celebration.
Municipal officials headed by Mayor Ramon Guico III, with Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, Councilors Josephine Caburnay, Carl Joseph Patawaran, Noel Apolinario Bautista, Jerry Aradanas, ABC President Bryan Louie Balangue, Federated Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Rolando Biado, and Villasis Councilor Louie Sison graced the event.
In his inspirational message, mayor Guico asked for unity and support among Binalonians for the continuous progress of the town. Guico mentioned the fourth Seal of Good Governance Award just recently conferred to Binalonan which he said is an excellent reflection of the municipal leaders.
He also urged the people to support the local government and mentioned his administration’s completed, ongoing and future landmark projects. Now on his last term as mayor, Guico is running for representative of the 5th district of Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, Senior Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Rev. Peter Paul Domen, the guest speaker, advised the participants to focus on being one with Christ, to focus on helping others in need, to focus on fulfilling their purpose, and to focus on what is being good with others.
Vice Mayor Patague and Councilor Sison also gave their messages.
Praise and worship, benediction, offering, intercessory prayer, singing, gift giving, and free lunch were parts of the celebration.
