CWC awards Binalonan with 4th seal of child-friendly local governance
The Municipality of Binalonan was conferred on Nov 12 with the 2017 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) by the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) in a ceremony held at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen, Pangasinan. This is the fourth consecutive year that Binalonan was conferred as SCFLG awardee.
Mayor Ramon V. Guico III with Vice-Mayor Melicio F. Patague II, DILG-MLGOO Norman Ramos, Binalonan MSWDO Marlyn Imbat, and Federated President of Barangay Council, Councilor Bryan Louie R. Balangue received the townโs SCFLG award.
Signed by Emmanuel Leyco โ CWC Chairperson and Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Social Welfare and Development; and Eduardo Aรฑo โ CWC member and Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Interior and Local Government, the seal is conferred to outstanding local government units in recognition of their commitment in promoting child rights to survival, development, protection and participation.
SCFLG is an annual activity which covers all Cities and Municipalities nationwide. It aims at assessing the LGU performance in the delivery of social services on child and youth welfare and in identifying results of the intervention.
