Binalonan municipal employees pay tribute to Mayor Guico, 4 other retirees
Through songs, dances and heart-warming messages, the municipal employees of Binalonan on Dec. 21 paid tribute to incumbent Mayor Ramon Guico III and gave recognition to four retirees during the Municipal Officials and Employees Day held at the Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center.
Guico, who is already on his last term as mayor of Binalonan and running for congressman of the fifth district of Pangasinan in the coming May 2019 elections, was given testimonials by key officials and selected employees of Binalonan.
Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II enumerated the qualities of the mayor as intelligent, hardworking, humble, visionary, honest and incorruptible.
Patague also described Mayor Guico as a hands-on leader, patient and fair leader who deserves the support and highest respect from the people.
Dr. Evelyn Abalos, president of the University of Eastern Pangasinan, Norman Ramos, officer of the Municipal Local Government Organization Office, and Manuel Iluis, Jr., president of the Binalonan Municipal Employees Association also expressed their gratitude and praises to the mayor.
Mayor Guico, in his response, thanked all the municipal employees whom he worked with for almost 12 years as mayor and vice mayor and encouraged them to continue their good work.
Guico’s long list of programs, projects, and awards were highlighted by Municipal Press and Publication Head Teresita Dacpano when she read the biographical highlights of the mayor.
Also given recognition were retirees Wilfredo Pilar, Josefina Viloria, Santiago Sermonia, and Roshielle Dela Cruz. Guico and the four retirees received plaques of recognition and gifts.
The Municipal Officials and Employees Day Celebration was organized by the officers of the Binalonan Municipal Employees Association.
