Binalonan Vice Mayor attributes townβs growth, development to Godβs grace
Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II on Feb. 11 said that the growth and development that spawned over their hometown is evidence to Godβs grace, thus urging the people of Binalonan to thank and praise the Almighty by being good and productive citizens.
Patague, who represented Mayor Ramon Guico III during the Thanksgiving Night at the Binalonan Public Auditorium, enumerated the implemented, ongoing, and future landmark programs and projects of the municipal government such as the SM Savemore, dancing water fountain, Binalonan Food Terminal, The Tent Events Center, the renovated fully air-conditioned Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center, University of Eastern Pangasinan, the soon-to-open giant dancing water fountain, and many more.
He also mentioned the coming of investors like the Jollibee, SM Savemore, Landbank, Mercury Drug, McDonalds, St. Joseph Drugstore, Chowking, RUSI, and a Japanese firm which can generate thousands of jobs.
Patague said, βThese are all blessings. We should thank God for all the blessings our town is receiving. Many more are coming.β
Organized by the officers and members of Binalonan Ministers Fellowship with their newly-elected president, Pastor Reynaldo Morales, the celebration featured song and dance numbers praising God.
Guest Speaker Pastor Robert Geron talked about this yearβs town fiesta theme, βBinalonan: Convergence of the Bestβ and discussed its secular and biblical explanation and interpretation.
Present during the Thanksgiving Night were leaders and members of the different churches, municipal officials and employees, DepEd employees, representatives of government and non-government offices and others guests.
In the morning of Feb. 11, a Thanksgiving Mass was held at the Sto. Nino Parish attended by the municipal officials and employees, government employees, barangay officials, and representatives from the various sectors.
