70 couples exchange βI Dosβ at LGU-sponsored Mass Wedding
Binalonan, Pangasinan- Seventy couples officially tied the knot during the free civil mass wedding program sponsored by the Local Government Unit of Binalonan.
The couples, who were married on Valentine’s Day, have already been living in for years without marriage and already have children took advantage of the mass wedding to legalize their union free of monetary expenses.
The mass wedding started with a processional march. Traditional wedding ceremonies such as the toast of the newly-wed couples, sharing of the cake and wedding vows were also done. Pictorials followed.
Municipal Civil Registrar Amor A. Nitura informed, among the couples, the youngest were both 19 years old and the oldest was a man of 54. Daylene Perdiguez de Rueda, a member of the Small Action Force of Binalonan, and his husband joined the mass wedding.
Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico III, who gave pieces of advise to the couples, was the Solemnizing Officer while Vice Mayor Melecio Patague II, the eight municipal councillors, ABC President Bryan Louie Balangue, and SK Federated President Ronald Biado stood as principal sponsors.
Now on its 10th year, the Kasalang Bayan has already become one of the events of the town fiesta.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Nitura, who spearheaded the event with the assistance of her staff, informed that free legitimization of illegitimate children can already be availed of by parents.
