Binalonanβs Community Night showcases Filipino costumes
Binalonians from the different sectors on Feb. 13 converged at the Binalonan Public Auditorium for the 2019 Binalonan Town Fiesta Community Night.
Wearing their respective assigned costumes- Aeta, Ati, Maguindanao, Igorot, Bisaya, Maranao, Ivatan, Pintados, Zamboangueno, Ilocano, Bicolano, Tβboli, Mangyan, Ilonggo, Yakan, Tagalog, Kapampangan, Waray, Cebuano, and Tausog- participants had their dance entrance.
Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico III, Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II, and the municipal councilors also wore Tausog costumes.
Awarded best in group attire was the Newly-Nationalized High School or the 189 High School representing the ATI tribe. The representatives of all groups for the best-dressed male and female participants were all declared winners by Mayor Guico.
Intermission numbers were provided by Sto. Nino Feast, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino, Senior Citizens, Ministers Fellowship, Parents Teachers Association, Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association, Farmers Association, LGBT, Teachers Mixed Group, and WCC Aeronautical and Technological College.
Bryan Louie Balangue, president of the Liga ng mga Barangay, chaired the Community Night with the assistance of DILG-MLGOO Norman V. Ramos.
Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico III, Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, and Councilor Carl Joseph Patawaran gave their inspirational messages.
