A large group of people gathered on April 5 in the vicinity of the Binalonan Town Plaza when the Local Government Unit of Binalonan inaugurated the Binalonan Dancing Fountain.
Binalonan Mayor Ramon V. Guico III after the countdown from the crowd pressed the button to officially debut a spectacular dancing water fountain show in sync with music and multicolor lights.
Guico was joined by Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, Municipal Councilors Josephine Caburnay, Noel Apolinario Bautista, Carl Joseph Patawaran, Jerry Aradanas, Marie Anne Baybayan, Lorenzo Tambo, Association of Barangay Captains President Bryan Louie Balangue, and Federated Sangguniang Kabataan President Ronald Biado.
Also present were Villasis Councilor Nicole Louie Sison, Councilor aspirants Atty. Ernesto Buquing, Glory Jovelyn Manaois, Domingo Rivera, municipal department heads and employees, school officials and teachers, and guests.
Before the opening, Pastor Reynaldo Morales, president of the Binalonan Ministers Fellowship, administered the dedication of the dancing fountain.
One of the landmark projects of the Guicoβs administration and one of the biggest in Pangasinan, the Binalonan Dancing Fountain opens every night starting at 7.
In his message, Mayor Guico stressed that the construction of the dancing fountain and the completion of other projects under his administration were results of good governance. Guico said, βThe projects I finished are not my accomplishments alone as your leader. These are achievements of every Binalonian.β
Guico added,βI want to leave a good name through good governance as a legacy to my children.β
Dance Revolution Contest participated in by five competing groups from the municipalities of Binalonan, Laoac, Sto. Tomas, Villasis and Urdaneta City followed after the inauguration.
Urdaneta City was declared champion and won Php10,000; Villasis was second and awarded Php7,000, and third was Binalonan with Php5,000. Laoac and Sto. Tomas were given Php2,000 each as consolation prize.
