To further enhance their fullest potentials, 125 participants attended on Apr. 25-27 a Summer Arts Camp and Training Workshop held in different venues in Binalonan.
The Arts Camp featured various training in Music, Painting, Dance Sport, Poetry Writing, Photography, Free-Hand Drawing, Sculpture, Media Arts, Hip-Hop Dance, Bamboo Instrument Making and Writing and Illustrating Childrenβs Stories facilitated by artists from Baguio, Dagupan and Binalonan.
Members of the training team included Junley Lazaga, Roland Rabang, Io M. Jularbal and Kim Antonette Lopez from UP Baguio; Silvino Dulnuan and Chrysler Cabalo, freelance artists from Baguio; Sabino Carino, Kelvin Gubatan, Anabelle Soriano, Jabar Casisiempre, Raymond Aquino, Monica Abulencia and Danilo Centeno of JGMNHS, Fermin Soriano, DepEd Binalonan I; Arnold βMoksβ Juliano and Robert M. Rara , freelance artists of Binalonan and Pope Dalisay, Dagupan-based sculptor.
The arts camp was held at the North Central School grounds and the training at the Rock Garden Tent, Rock Garden Mural area, Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall and at the municipal grounds
The training workshop was a part of the summer arts festival activity for the local governmentβs vision for the promotion of a creative economy, with a mandate to protect local cultural heritage and arts which started on April 24 with the opening of the Pinarsua Art Exhibit at the Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center.
