Pangasinan Fifth District Congressman-elect Ramon V. Guico III and Binalonanβs newly-elected Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. on May 25 inaugurated the P 3.2 million Poblacion Multi-Purpose Building.
The two public servants led the ribbon-cutting together with Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, Liga ng Barangay Captains President and Councilor-elect Bryan Louie Balangue, Punong Barangay of Poblacion Juan delos Santos, and other members of the Barangay Council of Poblacion.
Juan G. Macaraeg NHS Principal Febe Juan, Linmansangan Elementary School Principal Oscar Juan, teachers, and other guests also attended the inauguration.
Located at the western part of the South Central School, the three-story building houses the offices of the barangay captain, barangay secretary, barangay treasurer, Sangguniang Kabataan chairman, and Poblacion barangay health workers. It also has a conference room and two comfort rooms.
Benjamin Romero, barangay treasurer, informed that the fund for the construction of the building came from the SK savings as of 2017 and 20% from the procurement fund, and savings from the 2018 budget.
Described by outgoing Mayor Guico III as the best barangay hall, it was constructed thru the leadership of Punong Barangay Juan delos Santos in his first term as barangay captain and who served as barangay kagawad for more than eleven years.
Romero informed that the next project of the barangay council is to purchase a mini dump truck for their garbage collection and other purposes.
