Binalonians, are you ready to taste the “best pizza”? You need not go far because Shakey’s has just opened its branch in our town!
The international pizza brand, which originated in California in 1954, joins the roster of international food chains that expanded in Binalonan, including rivals Jollibee and McDonald’s.
Fifth District representative Ramon V. Guico III and Binalonan Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. led the ribbon cutting ceremony of Shakey’s Binalonan at the TPLEX Exit, Brgy. Linmansangan. Also witnessing the event were Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, WCC Aeronautical and Technological President Patrick Guico, Ms. Maan Tuazon-Guico (Cong. Guico’s wife), and municipal employees.
San Rafael Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Cirilio Catabay led the blessing of the pizza parlor.
Shakey’s Area Manager Arman Salanguit, Store Manager Eric Ocay, Operations Manager Celeste Tubu, and Melanie Jacob of Shakey’s Urdaneta, were also present.
A ceremonial cutting of a giant pizza was conducted by local officials, store owners, and guests, which was followed by coin shower.
In his message, Cong. Guico expressed his appreciation to the management for choosing Binalonan for their expansion which will “boost employment” for locals.
Prior to its June 22 motorcade, Shakey’s Binalonan held a soft opening on June 19.
