To bring the Sangguniang Bayan closer to the people, SB Binalonan on September 3 held its first out of the Session Hall session at Sta. Catalina Elementary School.
For the officers of the Pupil Government Organization of the SCES, it was a learning experience for them to learn about Parliamentary Procedures as they witnessed the SB members in session.
Binalonan Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II, chairman of the SB presided over the session.
Before the start of the event, Pastor Zosimo Gapasin of the Binalonan Baptist Church shared some words of God and enjoined the SB members and guests in prayer.
To officially open the session, Councilor Josephine Caburnay led the prayer.
Councilors Caburnay, Glory Jovelyn Manaois, Ernesto Buquing, and Lorenzo Tambo had their time during the privilege hour.
Meanwhile, committee reports were tackled by Councilors Caburnay and Noel Apolinario Bautista.
Marvin Canto of Benigno V. Aldana Memorial National High School requested for the approval of the work immersion of their students in Binalonan.
Barangay Poblacion officials headed by Punong Barangay Juan Delos Santos came in full force for the approval of the construction of their makeshift store room and kitchen and for the purchase of their garbage truck.
After the session, barangay officials of Sta. Catalina headed by Punong Barangay Rogelio Magday, teaching staff of SCES led by Principal Jessica Bautista, officers of Sta. Catalina Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association, and officers of the SCES Pupil Government had their dialogue with Vice Mayor Patague and the municipal councilors regarding some of their projects that need the support of the SB.
SB Binalonan thru VM Patague gave the school badminton set, volleyball set and basket balls and informed Principal Bautista and the teaching force that the municipal government under Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. will pay for the monthly electric bill of the school basketball court.
