More than one hundred officers and members of the Juan G. Macaraeg National High School Alumni Association (JGMNHSAA) on September 7 participated in the Clean Up Drive initiated by the officersΒ of the association.
Led by the associationβs President Jimmy Oria, the alumni with their cleaning materials, and trucks provided by the Binalonan BFP, Joel Viloria and the president cleaned six identified routes along the major roads of the town leading to JGMNHS.
The routes included Mc Kinley Street from Musing to 7/11 MacArthur Highway; MacArthur Highway from Andoks to JGMNHHS; Cabangaan to JGMNHS; public market to JGMNHS; Guico Street to Pangasinan II Division Office; and Juan Luna Street to JGMNHS.
Meanwhile the following headed the routes in the Clean Up: Group of Eduardo Escorpizo; Dr. Cornelio Aquino and batchmates; Batch 1979; Binalonan Police and Poblacion Brgy. Council; Sto. Nino Brgy. Council; Councilor Glory Jovelyn Manaois and JGMNHS Principal, Febe Juan.
The Clean Up Drive, is one of the associationβs projects and its contribution to the municipal governmentβs thrust Binalonan ang Galing!
Councilor Glory Jovelyn Manaois, an alumna of JGMNHS, who is the associationβs vice-president for external affairs said, βWe will bring back that time when Binalonan was the cleanest town in the Philippines.β
Before the Clean Up Drive an opening program was held at the Binalonan Rock Garden Tent. Β Rev. Manuel Viloria led the opening prayer; Arch. Russel Neils Meimban did the orientation;Β the launching was done by Councilor Manaois, while Pastor Garry Baybayan gave the closing prayer.
The assistance of Acting Municipal Fire Marshall Inspector Nicolas Angeles Jr., Municipal Disaster Risk and Reduction and Management Officer Former Councilor Carl Joseph Patawaran, Councilor Bryan Balangue of Β Batch 1998, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Framila Dela Cruz, MENRO head, Engr. Clarissa Cabacang, Poblacion Barangay Captain Juan delos Santos, Sto. Nino Barangay Captain Spassky Cabida, Darwin Tomacder of the Bureau of Fire department was generated through the order and support of Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. for the clean-up drive.
Lunch for the participants was provided by the JGMNHSAA, Batch 1979, and JGMNHS Canteen while snacks were given by some members of Batch 1994 and other batches.
