Eleven entrepreneurs from the 5th District of Pangasinan and Dagupan City on September 20 attended a forum with Amazing Philippines Digital Economy Corporation (APDEC) officials to start the process of promoting their products via on-line at the Binalonan Rock Garden Tent.
The participants included the following proprietors of Chamber of Veggies Products Processors of Alcala (CVPPA); ELISHA BAY, Dagupan (Bangus products); HANNAH & CHLOE FOOD ENTERPRISES, Binalonan; Binalonan BAZAARISTAS; Jomahβs Special Banana Chips, PEDAI (Pangasinan Entrepreneurβs Development Association Incorporated; Binalonan Longganisa Vendors), LFMP Trading; BCI Sword Making of Pozorrubio; Sto. Tomas Mushroom Processors Products and 6.Q Blade Culture International.
The forum tackled questions on the process of promoting their products with the issue of registration of products with the FDA , the DTI and how the products will be posted via online, dropping off and picking of products in one place or hub and how the partner company Airspeed will pick up and deliver products from APDEC Binalonan to different places in the country.
Branding and packaging of the products were also discussed to create awareness of βqualityβ on the part of the entrepreneurs for a large scale production.
The panel of speakers who answered doubts and questions in relation to APDEC promotion were Arlyn Grace Guico, president of I belong Philippines and first lady of Binalonan; Liian M. De Leon, president of Kahangahangang Pilipinas, Rosemarie Rafael, president of Airspeed International and Natalia Dalaten DTI provincial director represented by Bella Cerdan.
The presence and active participation of municipal officials headed by Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II, Councilors Dr. Josephine Caburnay and Dr.Noel Apolinario Bautista in the question and answer portion of the forum was most welcomed.
Tourism Coordinator, Angelica Peregrino with the assistance of Jessica Tabilin, LGU researcher facilitated the conduct of the forum.
It can be recalled that the Amazing Philippines Digital Economy Corporation (APDEC) hub was launched and inaugurated last June 21 at the Binalonan Rock Garden Tent.
