Team Binalonan on September 22 advanced to the national finals of the Under Armour 3×3 Tournament Challenge after an amazing display of skills and agility during the qualifying rounds held at the Jose Rizal University Gymnasium, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
With players aged 17 and below, Team Binalonanย posted a no loss win after defeating various teams from the different schools in Metro Manila.
Representing fifth district of Pangasinan, Team Binalonan will face off several teams during the national finals which will be held at theย Moro Lorenzo Sports Center of the Ateneo de Manila University.
Leo Arnaiz, sports coordinator of the fifth district, informed that the champion during the national finals will represent the Philippines in the Southeast Asian finals this year.
Before competing in Manila, members of Team Binalonan, together with players from Alcala, Laoac, Pozorrubio and Villasis, underwent 3×3 basketball clinic and tournament conducted by Under Armour 3×3 Southeast Asia at the Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center.
John Flores, former coach of La Salle Greenhills and Ateneo, conducted the clinic and tournament.
