To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Korea and the Philippines,Β K-Pop Contest Festival Pangasinan 2019 will be held in Binalonan on November 16.
To be spearheaded by HatidPag-asa, a faith-based and non-profit organization that aims to restore hope in the country, the festival promotes cultural exchanges between Korea and the Philippines.
The contest will have its preliminaryΒ group singing and dancing competitions in Asingan on November 9, in Binalonan on November 16, and in UrdanetaΒ on November 23.
Contest categories are K-Pop singing, solo or duet and dancing with the maximum members of eight.
During the preliminary contests, 20 groups will be chosen from the three municipalities to advance to the final contest which will be held on December 9 at Urdaneta City Cultural Center.
Prizes at stake are a package tour to South Korea for the grand or final winner of the singing contest and cash prizes for the preliminary and final round in both categories.
The event will be sponsored by Korea Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, The Korea World MissionsΒ Association, Embassy of the Republic of Korea of the Philippines and Global Hope Inc.
