Retired Teachers Fellowship Organization (RTFO) members on November 21 attended a lay fora on the protection and care of senior citizens held at the Binalonan Rock Garden Events Tent Center.
The Fora on βPagkalinga Sa Mga Senior citizens βwas conducted through the generated efforts of Dra. Mary Ann Tomeldan- Balater and her staff from Dagupan City.
Borne out of volunteerism, this project of Dra. Balater, in coordination with the RTFO headed by its president, Antonio Milanes, former councilor of Binalonan, aims to βprovide information and knowledge to the retired teachers to basic care and protection of senior citizensΒ and to provide services in terms of examination and health screening of prime importance to the elderlies.
The services provided by the medical group were: bone screening, memory screening, sugar screening, blood uric acid, varicose screening and memory games.
In his message to the senior citizens, Milanes manifested his utmost concern about the health of the retired teachers of Binalonan. He also commended the efforts of the medical team headed by Dra. Balater in providing various health screening for senior citizens.
The medical screening was also in time for the November birthday celebrators of RTFO, Β Andrea Lobo, Lily Farnacio, Carmen Racca, Ludy Penera and Erlinda Madelo Β to enjoy their special celebration with their fellow retirees.
