Binalonan Federation of Farmers Association (BFFA) on December 16-17 held the Binalonan Farmers Congress at the Municipal Events Tent.
With the theme, βRang-ay iti Mannalon, Namnama ti Nasyon,βthe congress started with a Thanksgiving Service with Pastor Billy Decano who led the Exhortation and Thanksgiving and Pastor Noel Noche for the Closing Prayer and Benediction.
Jay Layco, president of the BFFA, gave the overview of the 2-day activity.
Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. commended the office of the Department of Agriculture-Binalonan headed by Municipal Agriculturist Ricardo Tabuac and his staff, and theΒ Binalonan farmers more particularly the BFFA officers for initiating programs and projects that benefit the local farmers.
Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II represented Pangasinan Fifth District Representative Ramon Guico III as guest of honor and speaker. Patague cited the Guicosβ initiative to help the farmers of Binalonan.
Patague said under the Guico administration, the Binalonan farmers associations were given farm implements, farmers attended trainings and seminars, and with the efforts of the administration, the National Food Authority buys the palay of the farmers with higher prices.
βWe are here to assist you in all your programs and activities. Congressman Guico, MayorΒ Guico, and the Sangguniang Bayan of Binalonan donβt get tired helping our farmers, βPatague said.
Board Member Nicholi Jan Louie Sison of the fifth district of Pangasinan, praised DA-Binalonan and the Binalonan farmers for the awards they won in competitions and for the distribution of farm equipment.
Presentations of private companies and oathtaking ceremony of the BFFA Ang Galing Inc. officers, and Christmas program and celebration highlighted the congress.
