A Binalonan dance fitness instructor won gold medal in the recently-concluded Happy Dance Fitness World Cup held in Kasuga City, Fukuoka, Japan.
Jayson Collado Aro, who represented the Philippines, outdanced 40 contenders of different nationalities under the category- Happy Fitness Circuit Competition.
He garnered the highest points in all the three rounds of the competition. The 1st round was βRetro βStyle of the 70βs and 80βs, the 2nd round was βRock n Rollβ and the Β final was βBollywood.β
In a shining gold outfit, he also won the βBest Costumeβ Award Β for the competition.
A native of Canarvacanan, Binalonan, Aro is a Happy Dance Fitness ambassador at Happy Dance Power System Philippines.
The Happy Dance Fitness World has three categories-Happy Dance Kids World Competition, Happy Dance Performance, and Happy Fitness Circuit.
During its regular session, the provincial board on January 13 approved Provincial Resolution No. 432-2020, congratulating Aro forΒ winning first place in the international dance competition.
The resolution states, βThe exemplary performance displayed by Jayson Collado Aro has inspired many young Filipinos to develop a keen interest in dance fitness which has since been proven to be a popular field not only in the province but also all over the country.β
