Downriver Filipino-American Association of Michigan on January 17 turned over a check to Pangasinan Fifth District Congressman Ramon V. Guico III during a ceremony at the Binalonan Municipal Tent.
Bert Custodio, president of DFAA, turned the check over to Congressman Guico, together with his wife Maan Tuazon-Guico, and Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. The check worth Php 294, 000 is for the purchase of prostheses to be given to the congressmanโs constituents who lost their legs.
DFAA is one of the partners of the office of the congressman for its Prostheses Project which was initiated by Mrs. Tuazon-Guico, directress for Region I Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and MVRN Prostheses Center of Ma. Victoria R. Nazarita are also sponsors of the project.
Mrs. Guico gave her opening remarks, while Custodio and Nazarita gave their messages.
Congressman Guico expressed his gratitude to the project sponsors for continuously supporting Project Prostheses which has already benefitted recipients from the fifth district.
