Binalonan barangay officials on January 20 received their cash incentives from the national government at the Binalonan Events Tent.
Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico Jr., together with Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II and the municipal councilors, distributed 3 thousand pesos each to the barangay captains, barangay kagawads, and Sangguniang Kabataan chairpersons of the 24 barangays of Binalonan.
The distribution came after President Rodrigo Duterte approved the release of funds to cover for the socio-civic projects of each barangay during the Christmas season. A total of Php 651,000 was allotted for the barangay officials of Binalonan.
In his message, Guico expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the barangay officials for their hard work in the promotion of the welfare of their constituents. Furthermore, the mayor urged the barangay officials to continue supporting the programs and projects of the municipal government for the progress of the town.
Municipal Treasurer Selma Cuaresma and Senior Administrative Assistant III Evangeline Acuar facilitated the distribution of the cash incentives.
Meanwhile, Municipal Local Government Officer Marivic Guerero, reminded the barangay officials about the βtransfer of responsibility to the 24 barangays of Binalonan for the continued maintenance and sustainability of cleared roads.β
Thru Executive Order No. 3 series of 2020 signed by the Municipal Mayor, the Punong Barangays and Sangguniang Barangays are tasked to conduct monitoring to ensure that public roads are rid of illegal structures and constructions, and ensure to maintain and sustain the cleanliness of all clearedΒ roads within their respective jurisdiction.
βNon-compliance of the order means administrative case or possible suspension of the barangay officials,β warned Guerrero.
