Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. on January 28 commended the leaders of the Binalonan Ministersβ Fellowship for promoting the Maka-Diyos program of the municipality during the Culmination Day of the National Bible Month held at the Binalonan Municipal Hall grounds.
Guico congratulated and praised the leaders of BMF for their commitment in partnering with the LGU in fostering peace, love and faith to God. He encouraged BMF βto continue our mission of training our townspeople and equipping them with the necessary values needed to be proud of, through reading the Bible.β
During Mondays after the flag raising ceremony, an assigned pastor of BMF shares words of God to the municipal officials and LGU personnel. BMF leaders also visit schools and barangays and do Bible study.
Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II thanked Mayor Guico for his support in the celebration of the NBM, the yearly celebration of the Pistang Kristiyano and Thanksgiving Mass during the town fiesta .
Councilor Josephine Caburnay, chairperson, Committee on Religious Matters, urged everyone, especially the young or βbaby Christiansβ to read the Bible.
Pastor Nandy Domingo, guest speaker of the celebration, said,βRead the Bible. Meditate Godβs words day and night. The Bible is always relevant and timely. It can change the world for the better.β
With the theme, β#2020 Vision: The Bible Transforms and Unites the Nation,β the celebration was attended by the municipal officials and personnel of the LGU, Dep Ed officials and teachers, leaders and members of the different churches of Binalonan, barangay officials, and other guests.
Annually spearheaded by BMF, Binalonan celebrates the Bible month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 124, s. 2017, declaringΒ the month ofΒ January of every year as National Bible MonthΒ culminating in the last week of January, which is the National Bible Week.
