Thousands of Binalonians and visitors on February 18 jam-packed the Binalonan Municipal Hall Grounds and witnessed the Aero Fusion 2020 competition.
First time to be conducted during the town fiesta, the competition had the contestants divided in three categories: elementary, secondary, and adult.
The contestants in their colourful costumes and appropriate footwear performed aerobic exercises and dances within 5 minutes.
Out of the 15 competing groups, the following were declared winners: Elementary- champion was Binalonan District I, second was Binalonan District II, and third was the Private School.
For the secondary school, champion was Juan G. Macaraeg National High School, 189 High Schools was second, and Private Schools was third.
For the adult category, University of Eastern Pangasinan was the champion, second was the Local Government Unit of Binalonan, and third was the Philippine National Police/Bureau of Fire Protection/Judiciary/Commission on Election group.
Special awards were also given- best in uniform and biggest delegation. For the elementary, Binalonan I was best in uniform and biggest delegation. For secondary, Juan G. Macaraeg NHS had the biggest delegation, and 189 HS was best in uniform. For the adult category, best in uniform was LGU Binalonan, and biggest delegation was awarded to UEP.
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners.
Mayor Ramon Guico Jr., Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan witnessed the competition.
Councilor Ernesto Buquing chaired the Aero Fusion competition. It was co-chaired by Dr. Ana Jean Asuncion, Binalonan District I supervisor.
