Mixed emotions radiated at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall during the send off program held on June 26 to give honor to the three outgoing municipal councilors of Binalonan.
For the three councilors-Carl Joseph A. Patawaran, Marie Anne R. Baybayan, and Rafael A. Legaspi Jr., it was a day of expressing their appreciation for having given the chance to serve Binalonan, remembering their fond memories with their colleagues, and thanking former Mayor Ramon Guico III, now congressman of the fifth district of Pangasinan, Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. Vice Mayor Melicio Patague II, barangay officials, and the municipal department heads for their support in their function as public servants.
Patawaran, who served three consecutive terms, was awarded plaque of recognition and 18k gold ring βwhich stands for and in recognition of his unwavering loyalty and support to all the programs and projects of the municipality of Binalonan geared towards the welfare and betterment of his constituents and the municipality as a whole.β
Patawaran, Baybayan, and Legaspi who gave their messages were given their portrait as a reminder of their being members of the Sangguniang Bayan. They were also given their table tops and name plates which are βsynonymous to unselfish, dedicated and committed public service.β
SB Presiding Officer Patague, who called the three councilors musketeers, thanked the three honorees for their cooperation and good working relationship they manifested during their term.
βSaludo ako sa inyong lahat,β Patague added.
Outgoing councilor Ryan G. Gotoc, who ran as mayor but lost in the May 13 election, did not grace the occasion.
