‘Sculpted’ men dazzle in bodybuilding, physique competition

Sixty seven muscled men on Feb. 19 flexed their bodies in all glory at the 2019 Binalonan Town Fiesta’s 2nd Bodybuilding and Physique Competition.

The competition, held at the Binalonan Public Auditorium, showcased the finest bodybuilders and physique athletes from Quezon City, Baguio City, Manila and different towns of Pangasinan.

They competed in different categories such as exclusive physique (for Pangasinan residents only), small physique (5’6 below), tall physique (5’7 above), novice, flyweight (60kg below), bantam weight (65kg below), lightweight (70kg below), and open weight division (71kg up).

The contenders performed front lateral, front double biceps, back double biceps, side chest, rear lateral spread, rear double biceps, side triceps, and most muscular poses.

Winners were John Ronald Fontanilla, 1st in exclusive physique; John Ronald Fontanilla, 1st in small physique; Renz Alimorong, first, tall physique; Rholdan Malicdan, 1st, novice; Jerome Miranda, 1st, flyweight; Paolo Vergara, 1st, bantam; Eljun Camunay, 1st, light weight, and Alvin John Cajigan, 1st, open weight and overall champion.

Noel Franklin Z. Jacob, a bodybuilding buff from Binalonan, was the organizer of the event.
Sponsors were Ensayo Gym Equipment, Pox Moly, Beauree, Frost Ville Ice Candy, Ricky Santiago, Belen’s Eggs and Meat Supply, Tough Man Apparel, Grains Fitness, William Cesar and Wils Alarita and the municipal officials headed by Mayor Ramon V. Guico III, Vice-Mayor Melicio F. Patague, Councilors Dr. Josephine Caburnay, Carl Joseph Patawaran, Dr. Noel Apolinario Bautista, Rafael Legaaspi, Ryan Gotoc, Jerry Aradanas, Marie Anne Baybayan, Lorenzo Tambo, Bryan ABC President Louie Balangue and SK Federation President, Ronald Biado.
