Binalonians celebrate Pistang Kristiyano 2019

Binalonians from the different churches and denominations on November 12-13 converged at the Ramon J. Guico Sr. Sports and Civic Center for the celebration of Pistang Kristiyano 2019. .

With the theme,” Ipagbunyi ang Kabutihan at Katapatan ng Diyos,”the celebration started with “Youth Gig: A Night of Praise and Worship” where churches under the Binalonan Ministers Fellowship (BMF) were divided into six clusters for their praise, worship and testimony.

Pastor Reynaldo Morales of the Zion Christian Church and president of the BMF welcomed the participants and guests.

Pistang Kristiyano had its culmination day on November 13 which begun with a parade by municipal officials, LGU department heads and employees, members and officers  of the Binalonan Philippine National Police, DepEd officials and teachers, senior citizens, BHW and leaders and members of the various churches.

Pastor Jess Abao did the Scripture Reading, members of the Zion Christian Church sang several songs during the Praise and Worship and Pastor Nandy Domingo initiated the Offertory Challenge.

Councilor Glory Jovelyn Manaois, in behalf of Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. , gave her message. Manaois said,”Tumulong tayo sa ating kapwa para maibahagi ang kanyang kabutihan.”

“God doesn’t always give what we pray for. He knows what is best for us,” she added.

Councilor Josephine Caburnay, chair, Committee on Religious Matters also gave her message and said “Share your blessings. Your greatest gift is the ability to share your blessings; it’s what makes life meaningful.”

Councilor Bryan Louie Balangue represented Pangasinan 5th District Congressman Ramon V. Guico III.

Lagi nating papurihan ang Diyos sa anumang paraan. Tayo lamang ang may Pistang Kristiyano at programang Maka-Diyos sa ikalimang distrito,” Balangue informed.

Vice Mayor Melicio F. Patague II was represented by Rev. Roberto Geron as the guest  of  honor and speaker.

Pastor Geron talked about Christian faith, moral obligation, personal accountability and ultimate hope.

“Pinagpala ng Diyos ang Binalonan. Ipagbunyi natin ang kabutihan ng Diyos. Dapat makilala natin ang Diyos sa ating buhay,” he said.

Gift giving through raffle draws, lunch fellowship and youth team building ended the event.
