Representative of the 5th District of Pangasinan, Ramon V. Guico III and Mayor Ramon N. Guico Jr. on December 6 hailed teacher-retirees, promoted school personnel and new permanent teachers in a reception program held at the Ramon J. Guico Sports & Civic Center.

Introduced by Binalonan II District Supervisor, Dr. Ferdinand Cabrera as guest of honor and speaker,  Ramon Guico III told the mentors that the occasion is an excellent avenue of giving credence to the plight of teachers in the town.

“Today is the opportune time for the retirees, promoted school personnel and newly-appointed teachers to be given the needed tribute and accolades that they deserve.”

Guico III said, “ My sincere congratulations and respect to all the retirees in this occasion for contributing much to the welfare and education of the youth.”

He added, “To the promoted school personnel, take heed and continue to give inspiration and encouragement to the newly appointed permanent teachers.”

To the new permanent teachers the congressman challenged them to harness their potential and unfold their latent capabilities and skills to the utmost.

As the guest of honor and speaker, he cited his Infrastructural Plan for the 5th district  focused on building physical infrastructures to spur economic growth, accessible social infrastructures to enhance social well-being, strong economic infrastructure to attract investments, generate employment  and moral infrastructure by leading through example, instilling values critical to personal and national development.

Meanwhile, Binalonan Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. praised the honorees  in the occasion. He also extended his congratulations to the Binalonan I & II Teachers Club (BDTC) headed by the club Presidents, Noli Tibule and Rosalia Damasco, for manifesting and exuding unity and cooperation in organizing such event.

“Your association is at its best in its sense of purpose and goal in the process of progress and development in the town,” the mayor said. “You deserve the best of congratulations for underscoring the value of education as a pillar to national development. “

The honorees of both districts included 3 retirees, Dolores  Alabazo, Orlando Sequig and Rodolfo Ronquillo; 4 promoted school administrators and 11 new permanent teachers.

The reception program is a yearly endeavour to honor teacher-retirees, promoted school personnel and new permanent teachers sponsored by the Binalonan District I & II Teachers Club.
