Members of the gay community on February 19 had a day of hilarious display of athletic prowess during the Gay Olympics held at the Binalonan Municipal Hall grounds.
Scheduled part of this year’s town fiesta, some LGBTQ members (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, and questionings) who were grouped by teams, played the prepared games the whole day.
Participants and spectators from Binalonan and the nearby towns particularly enjoyed Maria Went to Town, Hep Hep Hooray, Eat All You Can, Coconut Husk Race, Sack Race, Finding the Coin, Kadang Kadang, Mummy Game, Shooting Straw in the Bottle, Jumping Jack and many more.
Hern Legaspi, president of the gay association of Binalonan, together with the association’s officers and members, spearheaded the event.
