University of Eastern Pangasinan received the Institutional recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), making it eligible to avail the benefits of RA 10931 otherwise known as Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.
UEP is among the three local universities and colleges (LUCs) in Region I who received certificates of eligibility from CHED. The three LUCs are now entitled to the benefits of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act for having complied with both the institutional recognition and certificate of program compliance for all program offerings as certified by CHED. The recipients are also entitled to avail the free tuition and other miscellaneous fees under the Tertiary Education Subsidy.
Among the awardees are Binalatongan Community College in San Carlos City and Ilocos Sur Community College in Ilocos Sur Province.
