Binalonan Local Gov’t partakes in Brigada Eskwela

Public elementary and secondary schools of Binalonan conducted from May 28 to June 2 the 2018 Brigada Eskwela with the theme “Pagkakaisa Para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan. ”

LGU Binalonan provided material and financial assistance amounting to Php 5,000 – Php 10,000 as requested by the 22 elementary schools and 6 secondary high schools. Paints and cement were most of the requested materials given to the different schools.

Meanwhile the staff of the LGU Press and Publication Office represented Mayor Ramon V. Guico III and Vice-Mayor Melicio F. Patague II in monitoring to support the program. The Small Action Force (SAF) of LGU Binalonan shared their time and efforts to do some volunteer work as cleaning the school premises, pruning and painting chairs and tables in all the schools for the whole period of the Brigada Eskwela.

RHU Team Binalonan conducted the Handog Medical Mission in Juan G. Macaraeg National High School on June 2 led by Dr. Framila Dela Pena Cuaresma with the support and assistance of Councilor Dr. Josephine D. Caburnay.

The Brigada Eskwela is the National Schools’ Maintenance Week that aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening of the School Year in June.

All Brigada Eskwela coordinators were mobilized to ensure the six-day implementation of Brigada Eskwela in all public elementary and secondary schools and to involve the community and local stakeholders.

School Heads took the lead role in planning the Brigada Eskwela activities geared on making schools ecologically conscious, resilient, clean and conducive to learning before the start of school year 2018-2019 this coming June 4.
